She is a testament to all the women of her ancestors who came before her. Their lives, their sacrifice, their work.
In the depth of the painting’s layers you can make out ancient arms swinging upwards, trying to fly, but not yet ready to leave gravity behind.
She is the one who left the cocoon. She is the one who is redeeming the roots of her being.
